Q: How would you describe Korea as a country?
A: It is basically a country with four distinct seasons.

However, compared with Japan, Spring and Autumn are rather short and Winter is very cold. Besides, K-pop and K-drama are also famous. Recently, I've been watching a suspense drama called Stranger.

Q: What kind of cuisine is Korean pan-fry meatballs?
A: Korean pan-fry meatballs are considered a kind of Jeon. Jeon is a type of Korean cuisine.

After seasoning the fish, meat, and vegetables that are cut to pieces, people will coat them with flour and fry them with oil. It’s definitely better to cook directly at home than eat in the restaurant.

In Korea, it is often eaten during the Chuseok (Korea’s national holiday). It is sometimes referred to as “Korean Thanksgiving” because it’s a special time for family, friends, and food. It is one of the most important festivals of the year and it celebrates the harvest. The time period of the Obon Festival in Japan is different from Korea.

Q: Please share your memories of Korean pan-fry meatballs with us!
A: During the Chuseok (August 15th of the lunar calendar), I often cooked this dish with my mom and relatives.

Q: Please share with us the place you would love to recommend to the people who visit Korea.
A: Places I would like to recommend is Deoksugung Palace and Jeju Island.

The first place is one of the Korean castles called Deoksugung Palace. It is a historical building of Korea that has a long history from the Korean period to the Korean Empire until now.

The second place that I would like to recommend is Jeju island which is an island in the south of Korea, and it is the largest island in Korea. It is famous for its black pork meat, the stone statue of Dol Hareubang, and oranges. Also, there are many natural sightseeing spots such as caves, waterfalls, and mountains.

Q: What’s your favourite Korean food?
A: I like bibimbap and kimbap. Kimbap is just rolled sushi, Korean people always eat it with Korean ramen and Topokki.

Q: What would you like to do when you come to Japan?
A: I want to see cherry blossoms because I heard it is different from cherry blossoms in Korea.
