Hobbies and Interests: Love to surf

Q: How would you describe Australia as a country?
A: Australia was surrounded by the sea, and the city I lived in is also located near the sea.

A personal perspective of the characteristics of Australians is that they like the sea and they have taste buds that are fond of salty tastes. As an Australian, I enjoyed and often went surfing and I liked the taste of salty cheese!

Q: Please share with us the history of Chicken Parmigiana!
A: Chicken Parmigiana originated from Italy, it was an Italian dish in the 20th century, around the 1950s.

Immigrants from Italy have promoted it to be well known in Australia. I often ate Italian food with Chicken Parmigiana and spaghetti. There are many Italian restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne, especially in Australia, and it has become popular with people.

Q: Please share with us your story with Chicken Parmigiana!
A: My mother would often make Chicken Parmigiana in Australia, or at gatherings with my cousin or relatives.

Every year, when my family meets up, we would eat this cuisine together. Besides, I also enjoyed it because the taste might differ a little depending on who cooks it in the family. There are many Italian restaurants in Sydney, but the fine flavours and garnish are unique to Australia. It was a very popular dish at the restaurant.

Q: Is there any food that you often eat in Australia?

A: Australia is quite famous for desserts. I would like to introduce various desserts that use chocolate as the main ingredient!

The dessert called is famous. The recipe of Lamingtons is butter cake or sponge cake coated in chocolate and sprinkled with grated coconut. Lamingtons are sold at bakeries and most supermarkets in Australia, but I have never seen them before in Japan. When you have a craving for it, you may have no choice but to make it by yourself (laugh).
