Q: How would you describe China as a country?
A: China occupies approximately 9.6 million square kilometres which are about 26 times as large as Japan.

China's population is the world's largest and has exceeded 1.4 billion. The history of China has originated from the Yellow River civilization, which is one of the "four major civilizations of the ancient world", and has been the centre of Asia during that era. For example, a lot of Japanese words (Kanji) originate from Chinese characters.



Q: Please share with us more about this cuisine, Tang Yuan (Chinese Glutinous Rice Balls)!
A: Chinese New Year celebrations last for 15 days and on the last day of this festive period, known as the Lantern Festival, and eating Tang Yuan is part of the culture of the Lantern Festival in China.

The Lantern Festival is the first full moon night of the lunar new year. It symbolizes the last day of the traditional Chinese Spring Festival and marks the coming of Spring! People can enjoy having Tang Yuan



Q: What's your memory about Tang Yuan?
A: Recently, chocolate-flavoured Tang Yuan has been introduced as a new product.

Tang Yuan always resembles the togetherness of a family and having a new great hope for the future. Recently, chocolate-flavoured Tang Yuan has been introduced as a new product. As a new flavour, it seems interesting and intriguing for me and I liked the taste of it when I first tried them.





Q: Please share with us your favourite place in Japan!
A: Kyoto!

Just by strolling along the streets, you can experience and sense the history of Kyoto. No matter how many times you go, you won't be bored with this city full of historical charm. If you come to Japan, why not enjoy Kyoto sightseeing in Kimono (Traditional Japanese garments)?







Q: Where are the places you would like to recommend to us if we visited China?
A: Hangzhou!

Hangzhou is one of the eight major cities in China with a history of more than 2200 years. It's a political, economic, and cultural centre in Southeast China. Led by West Lake, the city is surrounded by lots of scenic spots and historic sites. As a tourist destination, Hangzhou has attracted tourists from all over the world.
